At Monterey Car Week, the Toyota FT-1 wasn't the only sleek concept car in the spotlight. The San Fernando Valley Galphin Ford dealership was proud to display it's latest creation - the Galpin Ford GTR1. Galpin Auto Sports of Van Nuys, CA created the design which was then handcrafted by renown concept car creator, Metalcrafters.

The luxurious design comes built on a Ford GT chassis but has been widened five inches for peak performance. The GTR1 can accelerate from 0 to 60 in less than three seconds with a 5.4L V8 engine capable of kicking out 1,024 horsepower and 739 pound feet of torque. With those specs, the sports car is able to go over 225 MPH. Thankfully the car also sports a superior stopping system with six-piston brakes and full carbon rotors.

The incredible speed isn't the only marvel. The aluminum body features carbon fiber and is accompanied by 20 inch forged aluminum knock-off wheels, jeweled headlights and tail lights, and Pirelli P-Zero tires. The bold interior features Bridge of Weir handcrafted leather, a stylized aluminum instrument panel, and a top of the line McIntosh sound system.

The car is as custom as they come. The suspension is fully adjustable and comes with support staff who will fine tune from raceway to roadway as needed. The car is track-tested and burns 110 octane fuel, giving it its full American muscle car beast status.

The car is one of a kind with six chassis available for custom build orders in aluminum or carbon fiber. With a cool $1 million price point, Galpin is targeting a very specific niche of buyers who probably already have garages full of cars. The supercar originally debuted at last year's show but has yet to have any solid interest.

At that price, do you think it's worth it?
